On February 26th, two Pressurmaxx® all-composite cryogenic Type-V spacecraft propellant tanks, made by Scorpius Space Launch Company® (SSLC) started their long journey to the Moon aboard Intuitive Machine’s IM-2 NOVA-C Lander. These tanks, along with the tanks aboard Intuitive Machine’s IM-1 lander from 2024, are the first Flight Qualified TRL-9 cryogenic Type-V propellant tanks to fly beyond the Van Allen belt and land on the Moon.
